Dr. Christine Cook has been in the optometric field for more than 20 years. She joined The Eye Specialists in 1999. She is a graduate of the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee, a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, and a Diplomate, of the American Board of Optometry. She is a member of the American Optometric Association and serves as President-Elect of the Board of Trustees for the Virginia Optometric Association. Dr. Cook is also Past President of the Tidewater Optometric Society, and served on the Board of Trustees for 14 years. She is an adjunct faculty member tasked with training students from Old Dominion University Ophthalmic Technology Program, the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University, and of the Southern College of Optometry. Dr. Cook participates in FDA studies related to contact lenses and pharmaceuticals. In her spare time, Dr. Cook enjoys taking ballet classes, horseback riding and bowling.
